Research topics

The themes of the Solid Mechanics Laboratory lie between materials and structures, manufacturing and experimentation, scientific computing, data analysis and optimization. Six specific areas have been highlighted:

Mechanics in relation to medicine and biology

Observation and identification

The first four are part of our focus on materials and innovation, and contribute to energy and technological transitions. The second and last two are key points in the development of medical engineering, with an observation and identification aspect that cuts across all the laboratory's activities.
